Marketproof MCP connects ChatGPT to live NYC real-estate data: building and unit search, recorded sales and comps, owner and contact lookups, DOB permits and violations, and market analysis. Once Marketproof is added, ask in plain language and ChatGPT pulls the data for you.
Before you start
ChatGPT Plus or Pro for a personal account (Business and Enterprise also work, see the note below). Custom apps are not available on the free plan.
A Marketproof MCP account with a credit balance. Sign up at mcp.marketproof.com and buy a credit pack. You need credits to run any queries.
A Connection from your Marketproof console, which gives you a Server URL, a Client ID, and a Client Secret. Create one under Connect your AI agent. The Client Secret is shown only once, so copy it when you create the connection.
Connect it (Plus / Pro)
Get your credentials from the Marketproof console as above.
Turn on developer mode. In ChatGPT, go to Settings → Apps → Advanced settings → Developer mode and switch it on.
Start the Create flow. Settings → Apps → Create.
Enter the server details. Server URL:
https://mcp.marketproof.com/tools. Authentication: OAuth. Client ID and Client Secret: paste from your Connection. Name it Marketproof and click Create. It becomes available in your chats right away.Use it in a chat. Type
@Marketproof, or click + then More and select it, and authorize when prompted.

Business and Enterprise
On Business, an admin enables developer mode, creates the app under Workspace Settings → Apps → Create, then publishes it from Drafts. On Enterprise or Edu, developer mode is granted through Workspace Settings → Permissions and Roles first, and apps are off by default until an admin enables and publishes them.
Troubleshooting
No developer mode option. You need Plus or Pro on a personal account, or an admin to grant it on Business / Enterprise.
Marketproof does not respond. Open Action control for the app and click Refresh so ChatGPT re-reads what is available, then authorize again if asked.
Every request fails with "insufficient credits." Your Marketproof balance is empty. Buy a credit pack in the console.
Lost Client Secret. Rotate it in the console (open the Connection → Rotate) and update the app.
