Marketproof MCP connects your AI agent to live NYC real-estate data: building and unit search, recorded sales and comps, owner and contact lookups, DOB permits and violations, and market analysis. You set it up once in the Marketproof console, then connect Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Cursor, or another agent.
The whole thing takes about five minutes: create your account, buy a credit pack, create a Connection, and paste the credentials into your AI agent. This guide walks through the console side. When you reach the last step, pick your platform under Connect Your AI Agent.
1. Create your account
Go to mcp.marketproof.com and click Get started. Create your account with an email and password. Signing up is free; you add credits in the next step, and pay only for what your agent uses.
After signing up you land in your workspace dashboard, with your credit balance and recent activity. The left sidebar is how you move around: Dashboard, Connect AI, Connections, Credits, Billing, Team, Docs, Settings.
2. Buy credits
Open the Credits tab and choose a pack. A few things worth knowing:
A credit is worth $0.80. Most data calls cost only a fraction of a credit, so a pack goes a long way.
Credits never expire. Buy a pack and use it whenever you like.
The $20 Starter pack is the cheapest way to try everything. You can always buy a larger pack later.
Turn on auto-recharge if you want your balance topped up automatically when it runs low.
Pick a pack and check out. Payment is handled securely by Stripe, and your balance updates right away.
3. Create a Connection
A Connection is the set of credentials that lets one AI agent reach Marketproof. Open Connect AI in the sidebar and create a connection. You get three values:
Server URL:
https://mcp.marketproof.com/toolsClient ID
Client Secret (shown only once, so copy it now)
You can review and manage every connection under Connections: rotate a secret if you lose it, or revoke a connection to cut off an agent instantly. Create a separate connection for each agent so you can manage them independently.
4. Connect your AI agent
With your Server URL, Client ID, and Client Secret in hand, open the guide for your platform under Connect Your AI Agent and follow the steps. We have walkthroughs for Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Cursor, Windsurf, Microsoft Copilot Studio, OpenClaw, and the Claude Code and Gemini command-line tools. Paste the three values, authorize, and your agent is ready.
Find your way around the console

What you can do once connected
"Find five recent comparable sales for The Solaire, 20 River Terrace, and summarize the price range."
"Pull the open DOB violations and recent permits for 250 East 40th Street."
"Show this week's Manhattan contract activity by property type, with days on market."
Troubleshooting
A request fails with "insufficient credits." Your balance is empty. Open Credits and buy a pack.
You lost your Client Secret. The secret is shown only once. Open Connections, find the connection, and choose Rotate to generate a new one, then update your agent.
You want to disconnect an agent. Open Connections and Revoke that connection. The agent loses access right away.
